Yes I know it is getting pretty expensive to move these rigs and we will be doing more local camping, but we are coming up to IN for the Open Road Rally in July and we are looking forward to it. Saving our "Pennies" till then to fill her up with diesel :-)

There is a great website called MyBoneYard.com they will recycle old electronics and pay you for them. They even email you a shipping label so you won't have to pay for shipping it to them. You enter all the info and they decide how much it is worth ... might give you a couple of bucks to apply to a new one.

GA has a very good highway system and all roads that say GA Highway and a number are big enough for you to take your rig on it. You can go to the GA DOT website and request a free map and it will show you the size of the road by the color.
Where in GA are you going to?

Just picked it up today. Camper should be in this week also.
I want one I want one, I was a good boy all year and Santa forgot to leave mine this year and I know he had them because I saw him on tv with them man he can be so cruel some years
You might have better luck waiting for the Easter Bunny :p
If he can reach the pedal he might bring you one ... Never mind I make him stop here and bring me one first ... JK
I agree with you though the new Superduty Fords are impressive in looks ..

Here is what I did with mine and have had no problems during many miles of travels over some rough interstates.
That looks like a great solution. We have been thinking about what do do in our 5th-wheel and I think you have just solved our problem.

Remember to bring a couple books for the book exchange at the Spring Rally. I picked up a couple good ones at the Winter Rally. Oh, start thinking about the eats for Saturday night dinner, since it is May (Cinco de Mayo) , I was thinking maybe a Mexican theme with lots of different Mexican dishes, tacos, burritos, encharitos, jalapeno poppers, chips and salsa, etc. Just a thought.. Suggestions please..Rob
I will make sure to bring some books. I love to read ...
Mexican theme sounds great .... and tumbs will go with it perfectly :D

We still havent made a decision on the May Rally yet. But we are going down to A H Stephens the weekend of March 15th & 16th if anyone wants to join us.
Maybe we will some of ya'll there!!! It's my birthday and Jimmie decided a camping trip for my birthday would be a good idea. I cant think of anything else I would rather do(other than go to Switzerland--my dream!!) Oh Well!!! Ya'll come on down and help me celebrate another year!:S Man I'm getting old:(

We just got back from AH Stephens yesterday and it was a beautiful weekend. I celebrated my birthday at AH Stephens last year and had a great time.

Judging from the pictures it looks like you guys had a great time and the rain didn't stop that. Wish we could have made that trip also, but our sons school schedule didn't allow for it.
We will be at AH Stephens this coming weekend with a few other families if anyone would like to join us there are plenty of sites still available.

Georgia and Florida State Parks don't charge extra for kids, they allow 6 persons per site. Georgia COE Parks also don't charge extra for kids.
I get amazed when they say they don't charge for kids under 12, what happens with kids when they turn 13? Our kids are 15 and 12 and I don't think my 15 year old uses more park facilities then my 12 year old.
Most private parks will charge for kids, but we usually try to avoid those parks.

We started a yahoo group and it has a Database where all families add the dates that they want to camp and other families join them. Everyone makes their own reservations so nobody is out of anything. But we usually don't wait around either. We make our reservations and let everyone know where and when. If anyone wants to join they will know for where and when to make their reservations and add their info to the Database and show up. :-) It has worked well so far. Our group has about 45 members and we try to go out at least once a month.

How is the towing, appliances, slideout, storage?
I need an opinion on Browns camper sales in Jonesboro ga.
We are also a very satisfied Jim Brown Customer. We are on our second Open Road camper and all little problems we had were promptly taken care off by Jim and his crew. Never had a problem with our appliances (knock on wood). We will be buying our next unit from him also in a couple of years.
We also have some friends who had a Pilgrim as a first 5th wheel and they liked it.
